Getting Started

In this article learn How To: Scan to a new document, Scan to an existing document, Delete, Rotate and Edit with AccuScan

Scan New Document(s) from the Edit Document Icon

Documents can be scanned individually from the Customers Page.

  1. From customers page select the Edit Document icon to the right of the document name
  2. Make any necessary changes to the Document such as Title, Date, Expiration Date, Non Expiring, Status or add a Comment
  3. Select the Scan icon to launch AccuScan and scan the document using the configures desktop scanner
  4. Make any necessary changes to each selected document such as
    • Adding additional pages, deleting or rotating pages etc. using the top menu bar
  5. Select the Save All icon, once image is saved, the Save Current file icon will gray out
  6. Close by Selecting the X in the upper Right had Corner of the AccuScan window when you are finished with the document

Viewing Documents

  1. From customers page in AccuAccount
  2. Click the Refresh icon to Refresh the screen and view the document on the customer's page. The document indicator will change from a red square to a green dot
  3. Click the icon directly  to the right of the green dot to open the image (Icon will indicate the format of the document i.e. Adobe, TIF or Word)
Scan New Document(s) from the Edit Document Tab

If a new document needs to be added on the Customer page.

  1. From the customers page select the Edit Document Tab icon to the left of the Document name
  2. Select Scan New Document
  3. Make any necessary changes to each selected document such as
    • Adding additional pages, deleting or rotating pages etc.
  4. Select the Save All icon once image is saved, the Save Current icon will gray out
  5. Close by selecting the X in the upper right hand corner of the AccuScan window when you are finished with the document

Viewing Documents

  1. From customers page in AccuAccount
  2. Click the Refresh icon to Refresh the screen and view the document on the customer's page. The document indicator will change from a red square to a green dot

How to add additional page(s)

  1. From customers page select the Edit icon from an existing TIF Document
  2. Select Scan
  3. Under Insert, you have the option of scanning additional pages Before Selected Page or After Selected Page by selecting the radio button
  4. Select Scan Documents icon
  5. Select the Save All icon - the Save Current file will gray out once documents are saved
  6. Close by Selecting the X in the upper right hand corner of the AccuScan window when you are finished with the document
Adding pages to an existing PDF document from the customer page

How to add additional page(s)

  1. From customers page select the Edit icon from an existing PDF document
  2. Select the Convert icon - This will convert an existing PDF document to TIF format
  3. Click the Refresh icon to Refresh the screen and view the document on the customer's page
  4. From customer page select the Edit icon from an existing document
  5. Select Scan
  6. Under Insert, you have the option of scanning additional pages Before Selected Page or After Selected Page by selecting the radio button
  7. Select Scan icon
  8. Select the Save All icon - the Save Current file will gray out once documents are saved
  9. Close by Selecting the X in the upper right corner or the AccuScan window when you are finished with the document

Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 if you want to convert document back to PDF

Delete, Rotate and Edit with AccuScan

When using AccuScan, you can only make changes to a TIF document. PDF documents will need to be converted to a TIF prior to any maintenance

  1. Select the Edit icon from an existing TIF Document
  2. Select Scan
  3. Select the appropriate icon for changes to be made
    • Delete/Cut, copy, paste, add additional pages, rotate, Date/time stamp or annotate page
  4. Select the Save All icon - the Save Current File will gray out once changes are saved
  5. Close by Selecting the X in the upper right hand corner of the AccuScan window when you are finished with the changes
  6. After returning to the customer page Select the Refresh icon

Warning

You can not delete a scanned document in its entirety, one page will always remain until either you scan Additional pages or replacement pages are scanned prior to deleting.
